It’s easy to assume the worst. Anybody can do th It’s easy to assume the worst. Anybody can do that.

It’s much harder to actually believe in our own strength, especially when we can’t feel it in the moment.

Sometimes strength is invisible. And it’s not easy to believe in something we can’t see. But we believe in the Universe. We believe in Love. We can believe in ourself too.

That’s how change is made. One heartbeat at a time. All we have to do is believe, even when the evidence might not support the conditions for optimism. Just believe in You.

One heartbeat. One step.

Our ✨purpose✨ finds us. The feelings of urgenc Our ✨purpose✨ finds us. The feelings of urgency around “finding it” are a mechanism of the ego. We can’t force it. Like a butterfly, we have to trust it will land.

Our purpose is a quietly dormant seed that waits for the heat of our passion to activate it. It’s found in the cracks and crevices of what we perceive to be broken in the world; it’s found in the unique idea we have for fixing that fracture.

Our purpose can be quiet or loud. It can be showy or discrete. And for Highly Sensitive People, to feel it is imperative. Without it, life tends to feel meaningless.

When you ask yourself, “What is my Big Picture? What is my unique puzzle piece?” What do you hear?

Follow that. Forget about calling it one thing, or labeling it another. Just start there. 🙏🏼

I recently read a book by @drsuzannesimard called I recently read a book by @drsuzannesimard called Finding The Mother Tree: Discovering the wisdom of the forest. She is the ground-breaking scientist who discovered that every forest has a Mother Tree who takes care of every living plant within her reach.

Even in her death, she continues to nourish and support a plant kingdom universe under the soil. The trees don’t have to be her progeny to receive her care. They don’t even have to be her species. Through her lifeblood, her medicinal chemicals, she sends what is needed—bug repellents, potassium, magnesium, even sedatives into the air when the riskiest species enters the forest: Humans.

This book profoundly affected me. If I thought I loved the intelligence of trees prior to reading this book…well…I found that I could love them even more, after.

Right now it feels that we are all being asked to be mother trees. I’m asking myself how I can love more? How can I assist those in need? How can I nourish, and nurture, and make a difference in new ways?

I snapped this image of a dead mother tree on my hike this week. Her legacy lives beneath her, a vast healthy forest.

I am a woman who has never been pregnant, who has chosen not to have children, I don’t even have a uterus. I’ve never had an abortion.

But my roots run deep. I am both the gentle fern, and the mama bear. I am the whole damn forest. We all are.

Let’s take care of the little sisters, no matter what. Men, women, it doesn’t matter. Let’s all be Mother Trees. We have to.

All I can say is there is no force stronger than s All I can say is there is no force stronger than sisterhood. The supreme court may have awoken a sleeping dragon today. The Divine Feminine was only just getting started. This will kick things up to inferno level.

This ruling does not represent “power”. It is a desperate act from a dying paradigm. It won’t stand. And until the day comes when women & BIPOC & LGBTQ feel they are no longer pushed around by extremism, nationalism, the Religious Right, and the politics of Hate…we will be an island for each other. Remember, on that island exists a lot of powerful (sane) men too.

We are a family now. All of us.

Summer Solstice 2022! ☀️ Today we welcome the Summer Solstice 2022! ☀️

Today we welcome the longest day of the year, and the ascent into the astrological sign of Cancer 🦀. Today we honor the sun! 😎 And we walk into one of the most intuitive times of the year, when the cosmos speaks to us through nature, and dreams.

Today, we practice the intentional envisioning of how we’d like to design our lives from this moment forward, knowing the sun itself is leaning over our shoulder, asking us to think bigger!

To fully tap into the magic of today, join me in my favorite Solstice ritual:

1.) Wear something red, even if it’s just socks or undies. ☺️ This is to honor the element of transformation. Let your energy determine how much red to wear. If you’re very earthy, and are feeling sluggish—drape yourself from head to toe! If you’re like me, (super #pittadosha 🔥) then just a pair of earrings will do.

2.) Stand in the direction of the South, raise your hands to the sun, and visualize a direct conduit between your skin and the solar rays. Gather a little sunshine straight into your heart, and then beam the sun outward through your solar plexus. This is a powerful energy-clearing practice. And a generous way to send healing energy outward, into the world, for all sentient beings to receive. (This can be a 30-second or 30-minute practice! The timing is not important, only that you stay true to however long feels right for you.)

3.) Laughter! There is no sound the sun loves like laughter. ☺️ Gather that laughter today, and allow any crankies to move through your system. Allow today to be light, unserious, and a little frivolous. Deep breaths, be intentional with your thoughts.
