10 things about myself I vow to never again hide…
1.) I’m frequently wrong.
I’ve mis-judged people, mis-read people, and made a few odd turns in the road. I’ve spent a lot of time underestimating myself. But I also believe that our mistakes in life are meaningful. Without them, we’d never learn. The most powerful words I have ever spoken are, “I was wrong.” Every Highly Sensitive Person needs to practice saying those words, because they are too often connected to a fear of annihilation.
2.) I believe in manifestation.
Einstein said it best when he said, “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” I believe our words are prayers, and our mindset is like a menu. What we put out into the world we order for ourselves. It’s not personal, it’s just physics. To get more of what we desire, we have to be that outward into the world.
3.) I’m a believer in the Great Mystery.
I believe in the Universe, God, Divine Intervention, spirituality, Gaia, the Tao, Buddha Light, Mother Nature, the Medicine Wheel, the Sacred Feminine… and whatever else you want to call it. I believe no one word or concept is adequate. I believe we can never hope to fully understand it, but we can feel it. I do not resonate with religious dogma, or any worldview that uses God as an excuse to harm others. Fundamentalism in any form is toxic, and I see it as a form of violence.
4.) We channel wisdom.
I channel words, thoughts, & concepts that are not my own. I sometimes hear words in my mind that I have to look up in the dictionary, because they aren’t familiar to me. I believe some of these thoughts come from my spirit guardians, and ancestral connections. I hear the words (delivered in pictures and images) of plants and animals. Sometimes when I channel I go into a trance-like state. Before I learned how to manage this, (during the Stark Raving Zen days) I sometimes sent emails and made phone calls while I was channeling, which I had no memory of later. That’s really embarrassing to remember. I believe everyone channels. It’s an everyday, normal occurrence and a simple aspect of the human mind.
5.) Humans are extrasensory.
I believe every one of us has telepathy, clairvoyance, and intuition far more advanced that we give ourselves credit for. I believe we’re afraid to admit our intuitive power because throughout history, some pretty horrible things happened to people who did, all in the name of religious fundamentalism.
6.) A Paradigm Shift is happening.
I believe that we are in a global spiritual transition right now. I believe transforming our destructive ways will require full cooperation between Body/Mind/& Spirit. That means it will take physical activism, intellectual understanding, and intentional energy work. We get to decide what something like “activism” means for us. Not everybody’s role will look the same. But as long as we do our own work for the collective, however we define that, we will become capable of shifting our world. We can fully occupy the space of empathy, compassion, and heart. I believe as the Dalai Lama does… it’s going to take more than prayer to turn this ship around.
7.) All My Relations.
I’m not afraid to admit that I respect animals every bit as much as I do humans. I believe animals are teachers.
8.) I am animistic and totemic.
This means that I believe everything is alive. Everything has a spirit. Trees, rocks, bugs, everything.
9.) Everyone is our teacher.
I believe all of our connections in life are for a reason. Every person has something to teach us about ourselves, especially those who hurt us.
10.) Finding Our True Frequency.
I believe it is imperative that we learn to find our own true identity rather than continue to be ruled by external forces such as our society, how our families view us, how we are expected to act according to others, etc. I believe our own unique characteristics and our pure expression of those attributes are the key to living with passion and purpose. Many of us are afraid to express who we truly are. Barbara Marciniak said, “Everything changes when you start to emit your own frequency rather than absorbing the frequencies around you, when you start imprinting your intent on the universe rather than receiving an imprint from existence.” Amen to that, Barbara.
What are ten things you will no longer hide; things that make you unique, special, odd, and extraordinary? Think about ten things that separate you from the crowd. What makes you different? Don’t be afraid to step out from the safety of conformity, and celebrate who you truly are.
You won’t be eaten. I promise.
Much Love,
Kristy
